Ernesto is a patent engineer specialized in technology information and patent intelligence. He provides our clients with patentability, validity, infringement and freedom-to-operate in Argentina searches and opinions, as well as market reports and analysis of competitors based on patents.
Prior to joining BERKEN IP, Ernesto worked at the Argentine Patent Office, where he was Head Officer of the Technology Information Department for over a decade. Before taking over that position, he served as Technical Sub-Commissioner of Patents at the Argentine Patent Office for a period of fourteen years.
In 2001, Ernesto participated in The International Visitor Leadership Program of the US State Department, within a Multi-Regional Project addressed to Intellectual Property. He was also recruited by WIPO as consultant to provide training at the Patent Offices of Bolivia and Mexico (1985 and 1986/87, respectively).
Ernesto has attended training courses from the European, German and Japanese Patent Offices. He has been guest lecturer at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad Austral and Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, among others.
He received his Degree in Chemistry (1975) from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
