Barbara is an IP attorney with over 10 years of experience in the IP field.
Her practice covers all aspects of trademark law including clearance searches, protection, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement, litigation, strategic trademark counseling and portfolio management for domestic and foreign clients. She is also proficient in copyright, authors’ law, domain names, Internet and media law. Her expertise extends to conducting IP due diligences, advising, negotiating and drafting licensing and all kinds of IP-related agreements.
Currently, she serves in INTA’s Emerging Issues Committee (2020-2021) for a second consecutive period. In it, she is Chair of the Climate Change and Trademark Subcommittee.
Prior to joining BERKEN IP, Barbara acquired experience as an IP attorney at several well-renowned Argentinian IP firms and before that, worked as a paralegal in a US firm.
Barbara earned her Law Degree from the Universidad del Salvador. She later pursued a Master’s Degree in Business Law from the Universidad Austral and an Intensive Postgraduate Course in Authors’ Rights and Related Rights from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Earlier in her education, she took the Paralegal Certificate Program at Georgetown University.
